Volvo 780 - Like its predecessor, the 780 was designed and built by Carrozzeria Bertone in Turin, Italy. However, unlike the 262C, the 780 was not merely a two-door 760 with a "chop top" roof. Bertone gave the 780 its own distinctive shape which set it apart from the other models, yet was still identifiable as a Volvo. The car had a sleek, low profile, inheriting some of the styling of the other 700 series cars, but without many of the severe angles and sharp corners. The hood, trunk, and roof lines were all slightly lower than the standard 700 series profile, and the C-pillar was wider and had a more gradual slope down to the trunk. Headroom was improved over the 262C, thanks to Bertone’s mere 1 centimeter lowering of the roofline! Window frames all had black matte trim, and were accented with chrome. Chrome also highlighted the door handles, bumpers, and side mouldings.
Volvo Amazon - The Volvo Amazon is a Swedish-built car, the first one being rolled out of the factory in October 1956 as an alternative to the Volvo PV. Known for being a reliable car, of the 297,000 sold in Sweden, 35,000 are still registered and it's expected that 15,000 are still in use.
The model number of the Amazon is 120. 121 was the base model with a single carburetor 66bhp engine. The 122S introduced in 1959 was the performance model equipped with a dual carburetor 85bhp engine. It included the 130 (two door saloon), 120 (four door saloon) and 220 (4-door estate wagon) models.
In 1967 came the 123GT that was a 130 with high compression B18B engine, M41 gearbox, fully reclining seats, front fog and driving lights, alternator, fender mounted mirrors, special steering wheel, dash with a shelf on the passenger side, limited slip differential, and other cosmetic upgrades.

Volvo P1800 - Volvo P1800 is an automobile from Volvo. The project was started in 1957 because Volvo wanted a sports car. The man behind the project was an engineering consultant to Volvo, Helmer Petterson, who in the 1940s was responsible for the Volvo PV 444. The design work was done by Helmer´s son Per "Pelle" Petterson, who worked at Pietro Frua at that time. The Italian Carrozzeria Pietro Frua design firm (a subsidiary of Ghia) built the first three prototypes, designated: P958-X1, P958-X2 and P958-X3. The engine was the B18 with dual carburettors with the M40 gearbox. The engine produced 100 hp (75 kW).
The first public pictures were released in 1959. At the time of its launch, it was thought that because of its then-futuristic looks, the P1800 would have a long production life. It did have a long life, although stylistically the finned rear end would date rapidly.
Volvo S90 - Volvo 960 is an automobile from Volvo. It was the high-end version of Volvo 940 and the replacement for Volvo 760. Production ended in 1998, but the last two years were called Volvo S90/Volvo V90 instead.
The 1992-1994 Volvo 960's were built in Kalmar, Sweden. The very first Volvo 960 rolled off the assembly line on August 12, 1991 as a 1992 model. The 1995-1998 960s were built in Goteborg, Sweden. The very first 1995 960 rolled off the assembly line on June 27, 1994. All US cars were equipped with a Asin Warner automatic gearbox, European cars were also available with a manual gearbox, a strong new design that derived from the Volvo 850 gearbox.
S40 sedan - The S40 comes in 2.4i and T5 versions. The 2.4i comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with telescope adjustment and a CD player. In addition to a more powerful engine, the T5 adds front and rear spoilers, wood grain interior trim, foglights, automatic climate control, a power driver seat and a trip computer -- all of which are optional on the 2.4i. Premium and Sport Packages are available for both trims; they're your ticket to leather upholstery, a moonroof, firmer suspension calibrations and wheel/tire upgrades. Other extras include a 12-speaker Dolby stereo with an in-dash CD changer, a navigation system and bi-xenon headlights.
Volvo 164 - The Volvo 164 was an automobile manufactured by Volvo from 1968 to 1975. The lines of the 164 came from the pen of Volvo designer Jan Wilsgaard and were first seen in the late 1950s as a larger prototype exercise called the P358. The 164 was introduced in late 1968; the last model year was 1975. It was considered an upscale offering as compared to the nice but more utilitarian 140 series of cars.
Only offered as a 4 door saloon (or sedan), the 164 nonetheless shared many components with its 144 sister. From the windshield rearward, sheetmetal was identical. The front was lengthened 6 inches to accommodate the longer 6 cylinder engine. Because of the shared components between the 140 and 164, several private parties have constructed 2 door and station/estate wagon versions with 164 front ends. Volvo is said to have produced a single 165 Estate which was given to designer Wilsgaard on the event of his retirement from his career at Volvo.
The 164 was powered by a OHV straight 6 cylinder engine, the B30. It was a derivative of the proven B20 4 cylinder. Transmission options included a 4 speed (M400), another version with an attached Laycock d'Normanville overdrive (M410) and an 3 speed automatic (Borg Warner BW35).
Volvo 480 - The Volvo 480 is a coupé launched in the second half of the 1980s. It was the first front-wheel drive car made by Volvo. It was produced in the Netherlands, and shared platform with Volvo 440 and Volvo 460. The car was had many faults in the early versions. The use of front wheel drive was new to Volvo and that caused many problems. The pop-up headlights often refused to pop up and in general the electrical system caused buyers many problems. Also as almost everything from windscreen wipers to the front driving lights was computer controlled (at least on early versions), all sorts of problems occured.
Volvo B7 - The Volvo B7 is a chassis from the worlds second largest bus manufacturer Volvo Bus. The B7 is available in several different forms the most common of which is the B7L, used as both a single and double decker chassis largely in Europe but has registered sales in places such as China. The B7L is a low floor citybus with a rear vertical mounted engine.
The B7TL is a model built solely for the British and Irish market and is built on a range of bodies as a double decker bus. The bus features a horizontal mounted engine and a shorter rear overhang, as British hostiles seemed hesitant to purchase the B7L double decker with a long rear overhang (although some have since entered service in Glasgow, Scotland as 12m long double deckers).
Volvo S90 - Volvo 960 is an automobile from Volvo. It was the high-end version of Volvo 940 and the replacement for Volvo 760. Production ended in 1998, but the last two years were called Volvo S90/Volvo V90 instead.
